Just one of our designs
I’m pleased to announce the launch of my second online business, Mistle Mail. This new service allows you to customize your own Christmas e-mail with your own photos, text, and Christmas letter, while we worry about delivering it to your friends and family. It’s an economical and eco-friendly approach to sending your holiday greetings this year! You can send an unlimited number of emails for one low price.
Megan and I would love to hear some feedback on the service! Please check it out and let us know what you think.
I ran across a strange conflict today while working with jQuery and a form. My form was doing nothing when I called the jQuery .submit(); function — no errors, but no submit. My code:
$('input.saveApplication').bind('click', function() {
... other code ...
$('#application').submit();
});
The issue was caused by having an element with ID ‘submit’:
<input type='submit' id='submit' value='Submit'>
Once I realized what was happening it made sense but it wasn’t immediately intuitive to me. If you have this error double check your IDs and rename as needed!
As a professional web developer I have to deal with a fair share of e-mail messages every day. I like to look back at the end of year when I archive my old e-mails and tally up how many I’ve received in the last 12 months — this year it was 5,018 inbound and 2,398 hand-crafted outgoing e-mails for a total of 7,416 or about 30 e-mails sent and received each working day.
